Client: Sensational Color
What has now exploded into a respectable resource for information on color in the world around us, started off as a simple special-interest blog. Sensational Color was in it’s infancy, and they recognized that they needed to expand the capacities of their publication into a fully-functional web site.
In the summer of 2006, they approached us to help in the process. After some initial conversations and experimenting with different choices for layouts, the site came together in a style that was cohesive to their brand, with color-rich flares that created the perfect vehicle for an online special-interest magazine.
We chose to maintain the grid structure established by their logo and selected a color palette that complimented the brand. Each department on the site changes the dominant colors of the site to a different hue, making for a more interesting user experience.
