In late September, 2007, things were looking bleak for the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA). An alternate bill had been proposed and in its place was a similar bill, only with some major edits: the removal of all transgender protections from the law it was creating. It was at that point that the National Stonewall Democrats decided to take drastic action.

I was commissioned to create a parody to a major sugar substitute brand, replacing the logotype with the word "ENDA." The message was to convey support for the original ENDA, not this substitute that had been created.

The project had a very tight timeline. Hours were critical. And in less than 36 hours we had an online petition posted at a mini web site.

The initial purpose of the project was a huge success, as the alternate bill was placed on hold from consideration. While this doesn't mean the end of the road, it certainly was a victory for Stonewall and it's partner organizations.
